Administrative Specialist III - Human Resources & President's Office

This position manages the front desk for Human Resources and performs administrative support for the Office of the President.  The position requires frequent contact with community partners, University staff and faculty. Maintains and ensures a confidential environment at all times. This is a full-time, 12 month, on-campus position.  Generous benefits include health, retirement, considerable time off, and access to multiple tuition programs for employees and dependents.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative support for the Human Resources Office; serve as first point of contact, answer phone calls and greet/direct walk-in traffic; answer general questions and backup for other staff as needed; maintenance of personnel files; intake of new hire paperwork; assist with employee recognition events and service awards; co-administer employee benefit of tuition exchange; assign employee training as needed; monitor HR budget lines; code expenses/reimbursements; run reports and summaries of expenditures; support of annual projects and administer records retention schedule  
  • Administrative support for the Office of the President; code expenses/reimbursements and interoffice transfers for payment, run reports and summaries of expenditures, process monthly transaction envelopes; provide clerical support including printing, filing and photocopying; assist with scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, ordering office supplies, maintaining contact lists; support with event coordination and logistics; other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Three years related office experience
  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information

Level 17: $17.98/hr (37.5 hrs/week)
