Administrative Specialist III - School of Business and Economics/The Petrick Idea Center

This full time position provides administrative support to the School of Business and Economics (SoBE)  and The Petrick Idea Center. This is a full-time, 12 month, on-campus position.  Generous benefits include health, retirement, considerable time off, and access to multiple tuition programs for employees and dependents.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and promote programs, events and activities; such as, IWU MakerGirl Academy, IDEA Center workshops, student organization of entrepreneurs and innovators, Entrepreneur of the Year, multi-day trips to Chicago/St. Louis, welcome events for SoBE, RSO Fair; maintain and update IWU website for SoBE and Petrick; track use of marketing channels to maximize outreach efforts for SoBE; ensure timely submission of events to campus newsletters and communications
  • Provide fiscal management of budget and accounts; maintain itemized record of expenditures and complete expense reports; reconcile monthly transactions; process expense reimbursements; initiate purchase orders
  • Create and manage files, databases, and records regarding programs, events, projects and personnel; databases related to learning opportunities during the fall, spring and summer sessions; create and distribute surveys, applications, and registration materials; serve as recording secretary for special meetings
  • Additional responsibilities as requested by SoBE Dean; support entrepreneurship-related programming; manage logistics and coordinate with other campus and community partners; maintain master calendars for SoBE Dean and Director of Petrick; schedule meetings and events; coordinate travel arrangements; develop communications, as directed

 

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required; Associates degree preferred
  • Three years related experience

Level 17: $17.98/hr (37.5 hrs/week)
