2025-26 Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) invites applications for a full-time, one-year visiting faculty position in chemistry. Successful applicants must have a PhD in chemistry or a closely related field by the start date (August 1, 2025).
Strong preference will be given to those with training in physical chemistry. Teaching responsibilities include a year-long physical chemistry sequence, a year-long general chemistry sequence and accompanying lab sections. Teaching load is six units over two semesters: a lecture course counts as 1.0 unit and a lab section counts as 0.5 unit. Approved salary range starts at $60,000.
