Staff Council
Formed in 2005, the Staff Council serves as an advisory body for the University administration and plays a key role in campus decision-making. Members, both exempt and non-exempt staff, are elected by their peers from all areas of campus to rotating three-year terms.
The Alliance
The mission of The Alliance is to support all faculty, staff and students of color at IWU through mentorship, networking, and fostering a sense of community. We strive to hold Illinois Wesleyan and each other accountable to our mission that values diversity, equity, and inclusion through programming and open dialogue at all levels.
virtual SPACE
virtual SPACE is a BIPOC-led community circle for IWU community members who self identify as BIPOC. We meet regularly to discuss a range of topics that impact and affect our collective identities and perception of self. We share and exchange our musings and stories about culture, ethnicity, and what it means to be part of a community. It is a wonderful space to be in safe conversation for us and about us. To get involved, contact Dr. Michelle Gibbs at mgibbs@iwu.edu .
GREENetwork
The GREENetwork is a group of volunteer students, staff, faculty, and administrators who meet regularly to discuss the status of sustainability on our campus, celebrate the improvements that are being made, and look for new ways to increase efforts across the campus.
Faculty-Staff Recognition Committee
The Faculty-Staff Recognition Committee strives to find ways to promote a greater sense of community and show appreciation for the hard work and dedication of faculty and staff. The committee organizes the holiday luncheon in December and the recognition celebration in the spring, our signature events, and other smaller events throughout the year.
Faculty Governance
Faculty members are able to join a variety of committees, as outlined on the Provost's site.
