Lead Instructional Designer

The Lead Instructional Designer guides the creation and improvement of educational experiences across the institution. This role involves collaborating closely with faculty to develop effective courses and curricula for various learning environments, including traditional classrooms, online platforms, and hybrid settings. The Lead Instructional Designer applies expertise in learning theories, instructional design models, and educational technologies to enhance teaching methodologies and student engagement. Key responsibilities include conducting faculty training workshops, overseeing instructional design projects, and contributing to the Thorpe Center's strategic initiatives for assisting faculty. The role also requires staying current with emerging educational trends and technologies, promoting accessibility and universal design principles, and fostering innovation in teaching practices across the university.

Instructional Technologist

The Instructional Technologist provides support to faculty and staff for academic technology. They assume a lead role or a consultative role in the development of digital instructional materials and the training of faculty and staff in various technologies (like Canvas Studio). This role provides highly individualized service and support for faculty instructional technology needs.
