Council for Women

On February 27th and 28th, the IWU Council for Women will host its third annual conference.  Alumnae, along with IWU women from the faculty and staff, are coming to campus to share their experiences, skills and knowledge with current students.  The conference titled Finding Your Passion:  Crafting a Life will be a spirited exchange of information, life experiences and networking.  At a time when the economy is troubled and job prospects are shrinking, connecting with alumnae, faculty and staff to talk about these and other life issues is a wonderful opportunity.  Session topics will include:

Life after College:  Launching Your Career

Unearthing your Passions: Serving Others While Nurturing Yourself

Crafting a Life: Personal and Professional Choices

In addition, women student leaders were invite to apply for a scholarship provided by the IWU Council for Women.  All IWU women students are eligible to apply and one award per class will be given at the annual conference which will be held on February 28.  At last year's luncheon, four $250 scholarships were awarded to truly wonderful recipients.  The recipient may use the award as she determines its best use.  Applications are due by February 12.
