Spring has sprung at Illinois Wesleyan, bringing with it a vibrant lineup of experiences for the campus community throughout March. Check out a few of the monthly highlights below.

Unity Gala

Women’s History Month

To celebrate Women’s History Month, the University shared spotlights on social media of Titan women who are making their own mark in history. Physics and mathematics major Jade Kamińska ‘25 noted that women in STEM fields are historically underrepresented, part of the reason she chose to lead the Association for Women in Mathematics at IWU. University Archivist and Special Collections Librarian Liz Bloodworth said the lives and achievements of women aren’t often well-recorded in history, something that has influenced her own efforts to preserve records.

"As a woman, I have been drawn to sharing the stories of other women throughout history, both as a historian and as an archivist...recognizing women's achievements is important because they represent a large portion of the world's achievements." - Liz Bloodworth, IWU archivist and special collections librarian
Spring Break

Leading up to Spring Break, which took place March 10-14, Titan students shared their plans for the week off.

Barrio

The Spanish and Latine Student Association hosted the annual Barrio Fiesta on March 29, a celebration with cultural food, dancing and live performances
