Ann Aubry

Director of Communications

While overseeing operations of the Communications Office, Ann Aubry manages internal campus communications and strategic initiatives to broadly promote awareness of the University. She joined Illinois Wesleyan in 2002 after 10 years as a print journalist.

Kristen Buhrmann

Manager of Digital Strategy

Kristen Buhrman is responsible for the University's public-facing online presence, including the primary website and flagship social media platforms. She joined IWU in 2019, with previous experience as a marketing specialist at COUNTRY Financial.

Chris Francis ’13

Magazine Editor & Communications Specialist

Chris Francis edits the Illinois Wesleyan University Magazine, distributed three times a year to alumni and friends. He joined the Communications staff in 2022, with previous experience as an editor at Sourcebooks and as a freelance editor, writer and designer.

Assistant Director of Communications

Julia Perez manages media relations for Illinois Wesleyan. She joined the university in 2022 with previous experience as director of communication for District 87 schools and as an education reporter at The Pantagraph.
