BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — Artists past and present who shaped the fine arts programs at
Illinois Wesleyan University will be celebrated during the inaugural Festival of the
Arts April 25-27 on campus.
The event will serve as an opportunity for alumni, faculty, staff and friends from IWU’s College of Fine Arts to reunite and reminisce while supporting current IWU student artists.
Kline, Interim Dean of Fine and Performing Arts, said fine arts directors were “over the moon” when Jack Dickens ’86 presented the idea of organizing the event.
“We knew how excited Titan alumni would be to see how beautifully their legacy is expressed in our artists of tomorrow, and we all can’t wait to get together in just a few weeks,” said Kline.
During the three-day Festival of the Arts, the stages and galleries of Illinois Wesleyan will come alive with performances and workshops. Guests can experience student talent through art showcases, theatre presentations, musical performances and film showings; dive into creative activities organized by the College of Fine Arts, and connect over meals and cocktail hours.
Registration for meals is required and is open through April 18. A full schedule of events is available here. Questions may be directed to the Office of Alumni Engagement at iwualum@iwu.edu or by calling 309-556-3145.
