Internship, Job Fair Provides Opportunities for Students

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. ⁠— Illinois Wesleyan University students are invited to attend the Hart Career Center’s Fall Internship and Job Fair on Monday, Oct. 3 from 4-7 p.m. in the Shirk Center. 

Over 70 employers will be in attendance including State Farm, GROWMARK, MoLo Solutions and many more who are looking to fill positions. Kelly Bay, associate director of career services at Hart Career Center, said the event will benefit all students.

“These recruiters are looking for interns and full and part-time employees. The obvious benefit is a chance at landing those roles. The less obvious benefits include a chance to practice professionalism, learn to network, make connections with recruiters, especially alumni recruiters, gather information about companies, share their resume highlights and more,” said Bay.

Students should enter the Shirk Center through the main entryway and are strongly encouraged to wear business casual attire.

The Career Center also hosts Walk-in Wednesdays for students from 10 a.m. - noon and 1:30-3:30 p.m.
