Illinois Wesleyan University Offers Tuition Match to Lincoln College Students

April 7, 2022

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University community is saddened by the news of Lincoln College’s closure. As a neighboring institution, we hope to be of help as students seek to continue their education.

Illinois Wesleyan will commit to working with Lincoln College students to develop an individual transfer and graduation plan, waive the academic residency requirement and match their tuition cost.

"An undergraduate degree remains the greatest opportunity for financial security and economic mobility – not only for anThe lincoln path carrying your future forward at IWU individual student, but often for that student's family as well. Lincoln students were striving to seize that opportunity and now risk being blocked from that path by the closure of the college,” said Illinois Wesleyan University President S. Georgia Nugent. “As our colleagues at Lincoln College work to support their students with transitional services, we at Illinois Wesleyan are working to create opportunities for a seamless transfer to carry forward Lincoln students' educational goals.”

Illinois Wesleyan’s transfer admissions counselor, Andrew Starnes , and the Registrar’s Office are prepared to assist Lincoln students with a smooth transfer to IWU . Additionally, the IWU enrollment team will participate in the college fair on the Lincoln campus on April 15.
