Chase Dunaway

Chase Dunaway, a Central Illinois native from Peoria, Illinois, currently serves as adjunct faculty at Illinois Wesleyan University, while also completing the DMA in Percussion Performance and Literature at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. At IWU, Dunaway offers lecture in Percussion Methods as well as Applied Percussion Lessons. 

Mr. Dunaway has earned the Bachelor of Arts in Percussion Performance from Western Illinois University as well as the Master of Music in Percussion from The University of Akron. While completing these degrees, Dunaway has toured and recorded numerous times with prestigious ensembles such as the Jazz Studio Orchestra, several award-winning University Wind Symphonies, various commercial groups such as Sixth Street Brass Band, “for-hire” session playing, and The University of Akron Steel Drum Band. Dunaway has also commandeered The University of Akron Marching Drum Line, and has had three years of collegiate TA experience at two institutions. Mr. Dunaway is currently a regular performer through Central Illinois with his involvement in commercial music and with local professional orchestras such as Sinfonia De Camera, CU Symphony and Danville Symphony Orchestra.
