Honor Orchestra

October 18-19, 2024

The Second Annual Illinois Wesleyan University Honor Band will be held October 18-19 of the fall semester. We are excited to continue this exciting event, which welcomes nominated students from all over Illinois to come together and create beautiful music under the direction of Logan Campbell, Director of Large Instrumental Ensembles at Illinois Wesleyan University. Over the course of two days, students are building a program of diverse repertoire, while also interacting with applied faculty in different instrument areas through sectional work, getting a view of campus on tours with current students, and meeting new friends from other band programs. The schedule is below and culminates in a free concert for our community, family, friends.

Friday, October 18
9:30-10:00 am - Arrival & Check-in
10:00-10:15 am - Welcome Meeting
10:15-10:45 am - Group Activity
10:45 am-12:15 pm - Rehearsal
12:15-12:30 pm - Pack-up, Walk to Dining Hall
12:30-1:30 pm - Lunch
1:30-1:45 pm - Walk to School of Music
1:45-2:45pm - Sectionals
2:45-3:45 pm - Tour of Campus
3:45-4:00 pm - Break
4:00-5:30 pm - Rehearsal

Optional: IWU Wind Ensemble Concert at 7:30 pm, Free
