Thorpe Conference Room (301A)
The Thorpe Center Conference Room is located in room 301A, on the west side of the Thorpe Faculty Development
Center in The Ames Library. An ideal location for faculty groups or committees to
meet formally or informally.

Thorpe Center
Gathering Space is the central open area in the Thorpe Center, perfect for workshops
or meetings, formal or informal.
Roof Garden
The Ames Roof Garden is an elevated outdoor space accessible from the entry level.
The garden overlooks a park-like setting on the south side of the library. The space
can be reserved for special university events.
The Ames Plaza
An outdoor space located between the McPherson Theatre and The Ames Library, the Plaza
is available for events such as music performances, student displays, and other activities.
Electrical outlets are available.
Entry Level Rotunda
This open space on the first floor can be reserved for non-private activities. Ideal
for special exhibits, signage displays, bake sales, and other events appropriate for
a public area. No electrical outlets are available in this space.
Lower Level Rotunda
An open area on the lower level of the library, the rotunda has study tables, comfortable
chairs and couches. This space can be reserved for non-private events.
