Assistant Coach Women's Soccer
Illinois Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin, invites applications for the full-time, 10-month position of Assistant Coach Women’s Soccer. To recruit, retain, develop, and provide a positive student-athlete experience for approximately 30-32 players. To assist head coach in all aspects of the program while also coordinating the offensive or defensive scheme for the team. Additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach. The successful candidate will have skills in using technology to enhance program operations and recruiting, as well as, a commitment to understanding and adhering to NCAA/CCIW Rules. Responsibilities:
- Player/individual team development; provide opportunities for for skill development; develop, communicate, research and implement game plans; work with head coach on daily practice/training schedule; assist head coach in inventory and maintaining of equipment
- Recruiting for University & program; identify potential student athletes via outreach to high school and club coaches; coordinate recruit visits, travel to high schools and club competitions; execute marketing and recruiting plan to bring in an assigned number of student-athletes per year
- Retention of student athletes in program; meet regularly with student athletes; create positive balance between athletic and academic responsibilities; mentor and assist students in finding resources
- Alumnae relations and fundraisers with former women’s soccer student athletes, families, and friends of the program; regular communication and assist in fundraising efforts; coordinate alumnae soccer events to maintain connections
Requirements:
- Minimum of one (1) year experience at the collegiate level or high school head coaching preferred
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Overnight and weekend hours, as needed
- Valid driver’s license

Salary $35-42k, based on experience
