Gifts & Records Coordinator - Advancement
This position is responsible for processing all gifts made to Illinois Wesleyan University, generating receipts, and sending timely acknowledgements. This position plays a key role in maintaining data integrity and continuously improving the business practices of the Office of Advancement. This is a full time, on-campus position. Responsibilities:
- Process pledges and gifts in all forms of charitable giving, including cash, checks, credit cards, stock transfers, IRA transfers, employer matches, or other valuables as gifts-in-kind; generate gift receipts and timely acknowledgements; and prepare daily reconciliation reports for the Business Office.
- Oversee database management to keep constituent records up-to-date; create new and maintain existing biographical records; and interact with constituents to verify demographic or giving information.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree required; experience with gift processing, database management, and fund development operations may substitute for education requirements
- Three years’ related experience; experience in higher education or non-profit fundraising preferred
- Protection of confidential donor, volunteer, and employee information is essential
- Slate experience preferred
