Fraternity Recruitment

Fall 2024 Recruitment

IFC fraternities recruit year-round, but we encourage you to begin the recruitment process early if you are interested in joining in the fall. The fraternity recruitment process at IWU is designed to give both potential new members and chapter members a fair and equal opportunity to become acquainted as friends. The recruitment process is designed to allow you to get to know the members in the different chapters. During fraternity recruitment, potential new members get to choose which events they do and do not want to attend as there will be events hosted by all of the chapters.

In order to participate in IFC fraternity recruitment, you have to be registered. Click here to register for IFC fraternity recruitment.

Fall 2024 Recruitment Dates: Monday, September 16-Sunday, September 22

Contact Luke Hartke, IFC Vice President of Recruitment, at ifc.recruitment@iwu.edu if you have any questions.

Recruitment Overview

Recruitment offers you an opportunity to meet chapter members and other men participating in the recruitment process while learning what each fraternity has to offer. Throughout the process, Interfraternity Council officers will answer all questions which may arise while participating in recruitment.  Participating in the recruitment process does not require you to join a fraternity. It does, however, enable you to explore and learn more about Illinois Wesleyan University and our Fraternity and Sorority Community. This is a great way to meet new people and find out about many ways to get involved at IWU. This process is intended to be a positive and enriching experience for everyone who participates. Please note: bids are not guaranteed, so you are strongly encouraged to meet as many chapter members as you can throughout the recruitment process. We also encourage you to keep an open mind.

How to Register for Recruitment

Registration is a quick and easy process. Once you have registered, your information will be sent to the fraternity leaders to let them know you are interested in receiving more information. The process of going through the fraternity recruitment process is free.
