Writing Courses at IWU

Writing is an essential piece of the liberal arts philosophy at Illinois Wesleyan. A Gateway Colloquium class introduces students to the world of formal academic writing and critical thinking. Two Writing Intensive flagged classes are also required for graduation, one before the junior year and one in the major.
