Local Titans and Friends Invited to Back to School BBQ on Friday

Join local IWU alumni, faculty, staff and friends to kick off another successful academic year with a BBQ celebration at 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, in the Shirk Center parking lot. Guests can meet President Sheahon Zenger, hear live music from the Rusty Pickups featuring Brian Beam '91, and enjoy food, beverages and Titan camaraderie. The event is free and pre-registration is highly recommended.

Record Number of Student Athletes Named Academic All-Americans

A school-record number of Illinois Wesleyan University students have been recognized for their high achievement in both athleticism and academics, with 10 Titans named as Academic All-Americans for the 2023-24 school year. IWU's total of 160 awardees since 1970 ties for 24th across all NCAA Divisions and tenth among Division III institutions. 

Summer Internships Prepare Titans for Future Careers

Illinois Wesleyan University students made the most of their summer by completing internships that allowed them to explore career paths and gain real-world job experience.

With Deepest Sympathy

Laurine Brown, who taught public and environmental health at IWU for 20 years, passed away Aug. 11, 2024. A celebration of life service will take place at 11 a.m. on Sept. 7 at IWU's Evelyn Chapel followed by a gathering at Joslin Atrium. An obituary is available here.
