Best-Selling Author TJ Newman '06 to Speak at May 5 Commencement

Best-selling author and Illinois Wesleyan University alumna Torri “T.J.” Newman '06 will deliver the University’s Commencement address on Sunday, May 5.

Renowned scholar and activist Menah Pratt-Clarke will visit Illinois Wesleyan University while on a tour for her new book “Blackwildgirl: A Writer’s Journey to Take Back Her Superpower.”

Drici Named 2025 Kemp Award Winner

Professor of Mathematics Zahia Drici was awarded the highest teaching honor at Illinois Wesleyan University on April 17 as the 2025 recipient of the Kemp Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence. 

Do Well, Do Good Awards Highlight “Best of Who We Are”

Several student leaders, organizations and advisors from Illinois Wesleyan University were recognized by the Office of Student Involvement at the annual Do Well & Do Good Involvement Awards on April 8.

For A Better Tomorrow partnered with IWU to host the first STEAM Olympics on campus April 19-20.

Millennium Retirement

Advisors from Millennium will be available for virtual meetings during the next two weeks. See this invitation to schedule a meeting to discuss your retirement account. 

The Ames Library was awarded a $5,000 grant from the "My Library Is..." program through the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS), an organization that supports 1,200 academic, public, school, and specialized library agencies in northern and west-central Illinois. The grant will support two students in the Digital Humanities Summer Fellowship program and their research into the history of libraries at IWU.
