Counseling Services Provides Student Support During Seasonal Stress

The combination of dipping temperatures, reduced daylight and approaching final exams can impact the mental health of students in the winter months. Jojo Mitchell, director of Illinois Wesleyan’s Counseling & Consultation Services, is eager to guide students to resources on campus that can help.

Physics major Nathan Killough '24 was selected to participate in a research internship with the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology in Japan.

 

John Curtis '04 is part of a team that recently published a children's book titled "Welcome Home, Margot Flamingo" with themes that encourage young readers to become responsible dog owners.

 

Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness Michael Thompson authored a publication in the Journal of Educational Issues at Macrothink Institute titled "Character Development: Contributions from Undergraduate Activities and Interactions."

 

Assistant Professor for the School of Nursing and Health Sciences David Remmert served as lead author on an article titled "How Hazardous is Your State to Your Health?" which was accepted as the lead article in the January edition of the American Journal of Health Education.
