Andrew Herrington-Gilmore '09 and Lauren Giannini '08 started The Gilmore Family Foundation after both of their children were diagnosed with rare diseases, with the goal of raising money to support the Undiagnosed and Rare Disease Program at Children's Wisconsin Hospital.

IWU Trustee Nancy Hutson '71 was appointed to serve as chair of the board of directors of BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a company that develops oral medicine to treat rare diseases.

• Yoga takes place on Mondays and Thursdays in the Niepagen South Classroom, Shirk Center, with Rhendy Bradshaw from 12:15 - 12:55 p.m.
• Personal Fitness takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays on the east end of the Shirk Center track with Grace Redman from 12:15 - 12:45 p.m.

Consolidated Election Day

Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 4, is a consolidated election day for the state of Illinois and once

again, the Hansen Student Center will be a polling place. The polls are open from 6 a.m. to

7 p.m. To accommodate voters, we have been asked to set aside a section of Hansen Student

Center parking lot for election parking. As an alternative place to park, spaces should be available in the

lots at the Welcome Center, Evelyn Chapel, Shirk Center and the lot behind the Theta Chi

fraternity, which you can enter off of Horenberger Drive.

We make Hansen Student Center available as a polling place not only for the community, but

also for our students, faculty and staff who are registered to vote in Bloomington. If you live in

precincts 1, 4 or 41, the Hansen Student Center will be your polling place.

New Faces, New Roles – March 2023

• Amy Crumbaugh transferred Feb. 28 from Engagement Coordinator to Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement.
• Rachael Weeks transferred March 1 from Administrative Specialist II - Registrar/Academic Advising to Transfer Coordinator - Registrar's Office.
• Jermaine Burket started March 1 as the Assistant Football Coach - Defensive Coordinator/Student-Athlete Mentor.
• Marilyn Gonzalez Aguirre started March 27 as a Custodian in Physical Plant.
