What to Expect on Virtual Audition Day

Congratulations on taking the next step in applying to the School of Theatre Arts at Illinois Wesleyan University. We are delighted to get to know you more through our virtual audition process!  Below is some important information about additional items to prepare and what to expect leading up to your audition, interview or portfolio review.

What to Expect

Our virtual audition or interview process is typically conducted via Get Acceptd's AuditionRoom platform.

You will receive a message in Acceptd with your individual audition or interview time. Please plan to arrive in our virtual lobby about 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time.

Click the schedule tab and select "Agenda," then scroll to find the School of Theatre Arts event and "Join the Lobby."

Once you are admitted to the Audition Room, the platform functions like a Zoom call.

School of Theatre Arts recruitment staff will be available through the chat function and virtual lobby meeting. We encourage you to visit the lobby meeting and meet current SoTA students before or after your audition!
