Welcome to Homecoming and Family Weekend! Whether you're a proud parent, a supportive sibling, or a beloved grandparent, we have a weekend packed with exciting activities and memorable moments designed especially for you. Registration, travel information, and a full schedule can be found here.
Homecoming and Family Weekend is packed with a variety of exciting events and activities that cater to every family member. Here are some of the highlights you won’t want to miss:
Friday, October 4
12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.: Homecoming/Family Weekend Headquarters (Hansen Student Center)
Let us know you’re back on campus and find out more about Homecoming & Family Weekend events. Stop in for a cup of coffee or bottle of water, get your name tag, and pick up your family ribbon.
3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.: School of Business Reception (State Farm Hall, 3rd Floor Lobby)
SoBE alumni, students, families, and friends are invited to the 3rd Floor of State Farm hall for light appetizers and refreshments to network.
3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m.: School of Nursing & Health Sciences Ceremony & Social (Hansen Student Center)
All alumni, students, families, and supporters of the School are invited to attend this ceremony and reception.
5:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.: President's Welcome Reception (Memorial Center, Joslin Atrium)
All Titan community members are invited to this event to kick off Homecoming & Family Weekend!
6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.: TGOE Fest & CAB Pizza Taste (Hansen Student Center)
Gather with friends, family, and students in the Hansen Student Center for an evening of fun, activities, student recognition, and celebrating our Titan Pride! This event brings in pizza from several local chains in the Bloomington/Normal area. Students and families are welcome to try a sample from each participating restaurant and vote for their favorite!
Saturday, October 5
8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Homecoming/Family Weekend Headquarters (Hansen Student Center)

9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.: Fraternity & Sorority Life Open Houses
Is your student a member of a fraternity or sorority? This is a great opportunity for you to explore their fraternity or sorority experience! Tour the chapter houses, meet their fellow members, and learn about the community and leadership opportunities that Fraternity and Sorority Life offers.
9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.: Parent & Family Welcome Breakfast (Memorial Center, Joslin Atrium)
Kick off Homecoming/Family Weekend with a warm and welcoming start at our Parent & Family Welcome Breakfast! Join us for a delicious breakfast spread, meet fellow families, and connect with university staff.
9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.: 1850 Vendor Market & Family Fun (Eckley Quad)
Small businesses, local shops, food trucks, and makers will be set up on Eckley Quad with goods to purchase and eat. Come hear the IWU Pep Band perform from 9:45 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Enjoy a day of family fun with exciting inflatable activities for the kids!
10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.: First Year Student Experience Panel (Memorial Center, Joslin Atrium)
This panel will feature student leaders and Student Affairs staff who will provide valuable insights into the first-year experience. They will discuss common challenges, available resources, and strategies for success as new students transition to college life. Parents and families are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and learn how to support their students during this pivotal time.
11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.: Titan Tailgate (Shirk Center, Parking Lot)
Join alumni, family, and friends to celebrate before the Titans take on WashU.
1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.: Titan Football vs. WashU (Tucci Stadium)
Cheer on your Titans as they play host to WashU.
3:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m.: Office of Diversity & Inclusion Open House (Hansen Student Center, 2nd Floor)
Come visit the Multicultural Center (MC House) and then join the Office of Diversity and Inclusion for refreshments in their space on the second floor of the Hansen Student Center.
6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.: Tommy's Trivia (Hansen, Tommy's Restaurant - 1st Floor)
Students, their families, and alumni are inivited to join us for a thrilling night of trivia, hosted by Twin City Trivia, where you can put your knowledge to the test! Gather your family and friends and enjoy some good food and great company in Tommy's!
Sunday, October 6
9:00a.m.-9:45 a.m.: Interfaith Service (Myers Welcome Center, Alumni Auditorium)
Whether you come from a particular faith background or simply seek a space of contemplation and connection, all are welcome to gather and celebrate the diverse tapestry of faiths within our community.
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Chapel Service & Collegiate Choice Performance (Evelyn Chapel)
Ordained minister and Dean of Students for Inclusion and Advocacy, Dr. Prince Robertson, will lead a campus service with a performance by the University Collegiate Choir.
