Your First College Year Survey (YFCY)

For over 15 years, IWU has participated in the Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP), developed and administered by the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI) at the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA).

 Your First College Year (YFCY) survey,  administered at the end of  students' first year, asks numerous questions about their experiences and interactions and  allows direct comparison to answers given to selected questions from the Freshman Survey.  This comparison allows faculty and staff to see what changes, if any, have occurred during students' crucial first-year at IWU. IWU's YFCY results can also be compared to those of students at other participating 4-year colleges.
