Entrepreneurship Degree Requirements
Entrepreneurship Major
A minimum of 12 courses to include:
- ACC 112 Accounting for Decision Making I or ACC 113 Accounting for Entrepreneurs
- BUS 240 Introduction to Entrepreneurship
- BUS 330 Funding Startups and Nonprofits
- BUS 331 Marketing: Principles and Management
- BUS 340 Starting a Business
- BUS 341 Organization and Management
- BUS 350 Law for Entrepreneurs
- BUS 440 Project in Entrepreneurship (senior capstone)
- BUS 490 Strategy and Policy
- ECON 227 Statistics for Business and Economics
- FIN 303 Financial Management
- DASC 126 Introduction to Computer Science Using the Web
Students majoring in Entrepreneurship are also required to complete:
- MATH 110 Finite Mathematics, MAT 176 Calculus I or university credit for AP Calculus
- ECON 100 Introduction to Economics
Entrepreneurship Minor
Starting with academic year 2020 - 2021 and beyond. The minor requires six courses:
- BUS 240 Introduction to Entrepreneurship
- BUS 340 Starting a Business
- BUS 350 Law for Entrepreneurs
- BUS 440 Project in Entrepreneurship (senior capstone)
- ACC 112 Accounting for Decision Making I or ACC 113 Accounting for Entrepreneurs
- One elective course of the following: BUS 331 Principles and Management, BUS 341 Organization and Management, PSCI/SOC 395 Action Research Seminar, PSCI/SOC 398 Grant Writing, SOC 225 Methods of Social Research or MUS 315 The Entrepreneurial Musician
