The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Illinois Wesleyan extends the University’s liberal arts tradition to prepare students to be clinical and critical thinkers, strong leaders and compassionate professionals in whatever healthcare career they pursue.

The comprehensive curriculum across the various programs offered in the School will prepare students for the ever-changing healthcare field.

While some students are firmly decided on becoming a nurse or physician, there are many who are interested in healthcare but remain unsure of their ultimate career goals. Majoring in kinesiology and allied health, public health or nutrition can set students up for successful admissions to graduate programs to become physical therapists, athletic trainers, dietitians, occupational therapists, physicians or for a career in public health. community health or health services management.
