March 19-20, 2010--St. Francis Undergraduate Conference on English Language and Literature, Joliet.  IWU English majors presenting papers are Maribeth Dahlberg, Jeffrey Danzinger, Amy Fairgrieve, Anne Marquette, Linda Martin, Kylie Peters, Claire Shoup, and Nathaniel Strauss.

March 26-27, 2010--Annual Tongue & Ink Writers Conference.  Check the schedule on the Around the House page.

April 1, 2010--Sigma Tau Delta Book Club, featuring Professor Lynn DeVore's A Feast of Light.  Book discussion will be at 12:15 p.m. in the Cartwright Room, Memorial Center.  Presentation and Q & A with Professor DeVore will be at 4:00 p.m. in Beckman Auditorium, Ames Library.  Participants must have pre-registered by February 19th for this event.

April 8, 2010--Open house retirement reception for Professor Barbara Bowman, from 4-6 p.m. in the Cartwright Room, Memorial Center.

April 15, 2010--Winners of the fiction and poetry writing contests will read from their works at 4:00 p.m., Merwin Gallery, Art Building.

April 21, 2010--Annual senior picnic for graduating English majors and minors and their English professors from 4-6 p.m. at Professor Plath's house.
